Key Club is partnering with the Open Door Mission to provide toys to boys and girls in our community experiencing poverty so they have gifts under the tree this Christmas. The Open Door empowers parents to choose which gifts their child would like in the mission's Toy & Joy Shop. Needed toys include: Fisher-Price or Playskool toddler toys, sports balls, board games, puzzles, baby dolls, Barbie dolls, Play-Doh sets, Matchbox and Hot Wheels 5 car packs, $10 gift cards to Walmart and Target. Please drop off items in room 147 by the end of the day Wednesday, December 14th.

On Thursday, December 15th, HOPE Squad is sponsoring a day to dress up and de-stress before finals. Wear an ugly Christmas sweater, dress in your best holiday colors and wear a festive hat. During lunch-time, get a picture with Santa, and grab a candy cane or stress reliever.

Student Council is holding a Winter Gear Drive starting today until the end of the semester. We are collecting gently used coats, meaning no holes or stains, hats, gloves, and unopened packaged socks. There is a clear box outside of the office to drop off your items. We recommend that you drop them off in the morning so you don’t have to carry around any donations. If you’re a thrifting queen or king and have some money laying around, we’d love to accept your finds as well. All donations will be sent to the Open Door Mission.

The theatre department is once again selling singing telegrams for the holiday season. Buy one for $4 during lunch from our table set up in the hallway by the main office. Theatre students will deliver a holiday song to the friend, teacher, or administrator of your choice during GPS, sure to bring them holiday cheer or embarrass them, whichever you prefer. Thanks for supporting the theatre department!

Mu Alpha Theta members please check your emails for important announcements about this week's ASMA exam and a future fun activity with SNHS.

Students please check your semester 2 courses and see your counselor by Dec 16 if there are any errors. You can view your semester 2 courses by doing the following: via app: select the "classes" tab at the bottom and then select "sem 2" at the top via web browser: go to the Bellevue Public Schools website and sign into PowerSchool using your student email account.  Then click on "my schedule" tab on the left side.

Our spring musical this year is Legally Blonde, the story of a sorority girl who follows her ex to Harvard Law School and ends up discovering far more than love. This is a HUGE, upbeat, powerful, and exciting musical that we need a ton of people to make a reality. We will be having tech interviews for all backstage jobs on Mon, Dec 12 during GPS and after school. Auditions for actors will be Wed, Dec 14 or Thurs, Dec 15 from 3:30-5. Auditions for the marching band that will appear onstage will be Fri, Dec 16 from 3:30-4. Sign up for a slot on the callboard and see Ms. Ettinger with any questions.

Senior yearbook photos and senior dedication orders are due to Mr. Stueve by Wednesday December 21. Yearbooks are currently $55 but the price goes up to $70 second semester. You can purchase them online at yearbookforever.com or in 426 with cash, check, or credit card.
