Do you know when Bellevue High, which is now known as Bellevue East High School, was founded? Think you know the answer? After school, stop by counseling for a treat. (founded in 1962. It originally opened as Bellevue High School and was later renamed Bellevue East in 1977)
East isn’t just a school, it's your community. If you haven’t joined a club, sport or activity yet, now is the time. From DECA to drama, football to forensics, there’s something for everyone. Find your people. Find your purpose.
Theater: Are you or someone you know interested in Theatre including On Stage Acting, Production Management or Back Stage work? Coming off of our stellar 2024-2025 Season we are looking to get things off with quite the bang with our Fall Production of The Turn of the Screw adapted from Henry James novel by Jeffrey Hatcher!
If you are interested, please come to our auditions on August 18th and 19th starting at 3:15 in the Auditorium. Students looking to join the crew can sign up that day and leave when finished filling out their crew forms. Students looking to perform are asked to pick up an audition packet in B-17 as early as Aug 13th! -(Run Thursday-Aug 19th)

Meeting with Athletic trainers :If you would like to see one of the Athletic Trainers, please
send an appointment request to "Request Athletic Trainers Office" in Securely. All appointment requests must be submitted at least 30 minutes prior to the desired appointment.
Teachers: Please do not allow students to leave the classroom unless they have an approved appointment in Securely.
Boys Basketball: Any boy interested in trying out for basketball, there will be an informational meeting in Coach Lenear's room, E05, on Wednesday August 20th. YOU MUST CREATE A PASS ON SECURELY TO ATTEND THIS MEETING. We will discuss preseason conditioning, and tryout requirements. (run till Aug 20th)
Boys Baseball: Boys Baseball we are having our baseball meeting on Wed the 13th during Guided Study in the Gym.

The Bellevue East library is hosting a year long reading challenge for any student interested. For details, attend a meeting in the library Friday morning at 7:30 or Friday after school at 3:30. If you would like to participate but can't attend one of the meetings, stop by the library anytime and speak with Mrs. Dunkel.
"Hey Chieftain Nation—Homecoming is right around the corner, and we want everyone to be part of the fun! Before you make your plans, here’s a quick reminder about the requirements to attend the dance and other Homecoming events:
✅ Grades – Seniors must have 32 credits, Juniors 25 credits, Sophomores 12 credits and Freshman 6
✅ Attendance – Be in class on time; no excessive absences or tardies. You may not have missed more than 5days✅ Behavior – Keep it positive; no major discipline issues. Students having 3 or more days of OSS or a ticketable offense are not eligible to attend homing.
✅ Fines & Fees – We ask school fines and fees be paid. If you have a fine of $100 dollars or more that must be paid before you can buy your ticket.
If you’re unsure about your status, check with the office now—don’t wait until the last minute. Let’s all do our part so we can celebrate together and make this the best Homecoming yet!"
