Sara Vance, an 8th grader at Mission Middle School, recently qualified for the National History Day Contest, to be held at the University of Maryland, College Park in the Washington, D.C. area, June. At the state contest, held on April 8 at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Vance took first place in the Historical Paper category.
