Welcome to Fort Crook Elementary
My name is Jason Ramirez and this is my third year serving as your principal at Fort Crook Elementary. My philosophy towards education is dedicated to fostering a positive and safe environment for all. Ensuring that our students feel safe, respected, loved, and valued is key to a successful school experience. Furthermore, establishing a culture that focuses on academic, social, physical, and emotional development of all students is the highest priority.
At Fort Crook we believe building positive relationships with our students will lead to their success not only in the classroom, but as they navigate through life. Members of our school community are caring, supportive, and have a “what’s best for kids’ mentality. Additionally, they have created an all inclusive environment where everyone is welcomed.
I am originally from Kansas where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Pittsburg State University; Physical Education in 2012, and Educational Leadership in 2018. Prior to coming to Bellevue Public Schools, I taught Physical Education in Southeast Missouri and Topeka, Kansas. I joined Bellevue Public Schools in 2018 as Lead Teacher at Betz Elementary for 3 years, then Belleaire Elementary for 1 year.
