Born and raised in small town Iowa, I graduated from Pomeroy-Palmer High School in 1998.  From there I attended Loras College in Dubuque Iowa and majored in Secondary Education and Special Education/Behavior Disorders and endorsed in English/Language Arts.  I moved to Omaha immediately following graduation for a position with Westside Community Schools.  I taught self-contained special education for five years at the high school level. During this time, I completed my Masters of Science in Education Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.   In 2007, I took a position with Millard Public Schools and taught special education/behavioral disorders for Kiewit Middle School.  In 2009, I was named Dean of Students at Bellevue West where I found my home with Bellevue Public Schools.  For three years I served as the ninth-grade dean and dealt with day to day discipline and was awarded the opportunity to ease into administration.  I completed my Doctorate of Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2011.  In 2012, I was named an Assistant Principal of Bellevue West where my primary responsibilities are special education, ninth-grade, state and national assessments, data, and staff evaluation.

Bellevue West is a great place!  I am in continuous awe of our outstanding student body and the parents and guardians that have worked so hard to instill a work ethic, citizenship and overall character into these fine young men and women.
