Mr. Parkison holds teaching endorsements in 7-12 Mathematics, 7-12 Physical Science, and K-12 Information Technology.  He holds a bachelors degree in education from University of Nebraska at Kearney, and a Master's degree in Information Technology from Peru State College.  

He has an extensive science background, having served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Power Reactor Operator.  He served on the USS Nimitz as Nuclear Power Machinist Mate during operation Desert Storm.  

He has been employed at Millard North High School, where he taught Physical Science and Mathmatics.  He also worked at Educational Service Unit #3 (ESU3), where he worked on a web team that helped 18 different school districts establish web-based technology.  He also worked for Bellevue Public Schools, serving as a web developer and technology trainer for the district.

This is Mr. Parkison's sixth year at Bellevue West High School where he teaches Intro to Computer Science, AP computer science, and Cisco A+ PC Hardware.  He also has started a Cyber Patriot club , a strategic games club, and a robotics club that meets after school.
