Thursday, October 17th

 

Students:  Just a friendly reminder that with the cold weather approaching, please dress appropriately.  Blankets, snuggies, robes or anything of the sort will not be allowed to be worn in the building.

Calling on Chieftain Nation!  We need your appropriate designs for flags to adorn the light poles on campus (not High School Drive).  See the flyers hanging around the school or check Twitter for details. Winners will receive $25 for their design.  See Mr. Bartholow in F-13 for details. Contest runs through tomorrow.

The Sophomore class sponsors will be selling Jock and Jill popcorn the week of October 21st.  The Spooky mix will be available during passing periods and after school from any Sophomore class sponsor for just $2 per bag!  Buy some for yourself and as a Halloween gift for your friends!

Attention Girls Soccer Players: We will be having a meeting about our upcoming winter conditioning schedule and also indoor soccer season. If you are interested in playing soccer this spring, this is a great way to start preparing now!  We will be meeting in K08 on Tuesday, October 29th, from 3:30-3:50 p.m.. Please plan accordingly and if you have any questions, see Coach Fjell in K08.

 

Seniors, coaches, sponsors and friends of seniors!  Spread the word. Yearbook senior dedications are due by Friday, December 20th, to get the lowest price.  Space is filling up so, get the order in before it's too late. Stop by room-B-03 to pick up your order form today!

 

Yearbook Price Increase Warning! The 2020 yearbook is currently on sale for $60, but the price will go up to $65 on October 20th.  Hurry and buy yours today before the price goes up! Stop by B-03 or go to Balfour.com. Special extras are available to purchase for online buyers only!

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo will hold an informational day on Friday, November 8th, for current sophomores and juniors that would be interested in participating in the Zoo Academy in the 2020-21 academic year.  Students would need parental/guardian permission to attend the informational day. Speak with or email Mr. Chudomelka by October 25th if interested in attending. Remember that November 8th is a day that BPS does not have school.

Attention Juniors! Junior class t-shirts and crewneck sweatshirts are available to purchase now. See Ms. Halstead in D-24 or a Junior Class officer to order.  Money is due Friday, October 25th.

Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Thursday, October 24, 2019.  If you are considering having your picture retaken, the Photographer's Retake Policy is located in the original picture packet.  If you want your picture retaken, you must return your pictures on the day of retakes. Sign up for retakes at Mrs. Blecke's desk by Wednesday, October 23rd.

There will be a blood drive Friday, October 25th, in the lower gym hosted by the Student Council!  Students can sign up during first and second lunch starting on Monday, October 21st. If you are 16 years of age or younger, you will need a permission slip signed by your parent/guardian. Those forms are available at the sign-up table. If you have any questions, please find Ms. Schutte or Ms. Halstead.
