Scholarship Information and Tools

A wealth of information regarding scholarships and financial aid is available via the Internet.  These are some of the best web sites for obtaining information and forms:

        Scholarships                           Financial Aid                        College Planning

    www.fastweb.com                      www.studentaid.ed.gov              www.collegeboard.org

    www.collegeanswer.com             www.finaid.org                          www.petersons.com

    www.educationquest.org             www.fafsa.ed.gov                      www.ACTstudent.org

                                                    www.nasfaa.org

The EducationQuest Foundation located in Rockbrook Village (11031 Elm St., Omaha, NE 68144; or call 402-391-4033) gives you the option to use a FREE scholarship search.  Also, at www.educationquest.org you can use their FREE Scholarship Quest to find scholarships that may be of interest.  They also offer FREE appointments for students & parents to help fill out and submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  A new FAFSA worksheet should be available soon, but you cannot file until after October1st.  The FAFSA is submitted via the Internet at www.FAFSA.ed.gov.

Please note that you should NOT have to pay for any assistance in locating scholarships or processing paperwork for financial aid.  If any company solicits you for money regarding locating available scholarships, we recommend you do not participate.

If you have any questions while filling out those scholarship applications, please feel free to stop by the counseling office and ask to see the scholarship advisor or visit with your counselor for assistance.  You can also reach us by phone at the 402-293-4151.

We are more than happy to postmark and mail your college applications, transcripts, test scores, and scholarship applications when they are ready.  Be sure to fill out a records release form and return it to the counseling office.  Without that, we cannot send your transcripts or test scores!

GOOD LUCK with your scholarship search!
