OneWorld Community Health is bringing Ronald McDonald CareMobile to BPS

The Ronald McDonald CareMobile is bringing a wonderful opportunity to Bellevue Public Schools’ students in March.

The CareMobile is a program of the OneWorld Community Health Centers, Inc. The CareMobile travels to schools and other community locations, and is designed to help children receive needed dental treatment on-site, at no cost to the family.

The CareMobile will be at multiple BPS Elementary School parking lots in March to serve elementary students. Specific dates, times, and schools are still to be determined. For more information, please call (402)827-1857 or email megan.pendley@bpsne.net

The need for a CareMobile program is overwhelming. The dental clinic serves several thousand children each year by providing a number of services including dental cleanings, fillings, oral surgery, crowns, sealants, and oral health education. The CareMobile, which is equipped with a wheelchair lift, contains two patient examination rooms and a reception area. The vehicle has heating and cooling systems to enable year-round care.

Ronald McDonald CareMobiles are built specifically for delivery of dental care for children up to age 19. Ronald McDonald House Charities in Omaha partnered with OneWorld Community Health Centers in 2006 to bring a CareMobile to the Omaha Metro community.
