Wake Robin Media Center Information
The media center is a place for all students at Wake Robin to enjoy the love of learning! I encourage and help students to find, read, and enjoy appropriate literature. We work together on many projects including research and writing through the use of Step Up to Writing. We also get to know about many authors, illustrators, and award winning books. All students learn about taking care of books and practice responsibility through returning books in a timely manner.
The Media Center at Wake Robin Elementary is open all day every school day except for 40 minutes during lunch. All classes are scheduled to meet every other day of the eight day cycle. Students will checkout books at least one time as a class during the eight day cycle. Books may be renewed if students need more time to finish, but the book(s) needs to be brought back to the library each time. Mrs. Potts limits drawing books, I Spy books, Origami books, and Magazines to a one week checkout only.
Students are expected to pay for lost or damaged books. Overdue notices will be sent home periodically.
